RGN Home Manager, Lancashire

Nursing Home Manager required for this 48 bedded nursing home covering DEMENTIA care. Ideally situated just on edge of Leigh, Lancashire this is a stunning home which is beautifully placed overlooking greenery. Easily accessible from Manchester, Lancashire or Merseyside.

The potential candidate must be an experienced manager and have some experience in EMI Dementia care. Ideally have some training or qualifications in this would also be a huge advantage but not essential.

JOB PURPOSE: To take overall responsibility for the smooth running of the Care home and the general well-being of Clients and Staff Members. To ensure that all Company policies and procedures, and all legal requirements are adhered to within the defined timescales.

QUALIFICATIONS

1st Level Nurse RMN or RGN

Previous management / supervisory experience

Registered Manager's Award (achieved / working towards), or willing to undertake

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

* Through continuous assessment and supervision, ensure all Staff Members maintain high standards, and contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Care Centre and to the creation of an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of Clients.

* Assess social needs of prospective Clients in a Residential Care setting, or health needs of prospective Clients in a Nursing Care setting, and subsequently monitor the planning and on-going evaluation of care.

* Monitor Care Plan documentation & undertake weekly review to ensure best practice.

* Undertake general nursing & personal care as appropriate to Clients' needs.

* Liaise with the Activities Co-ordinator, Clients, Relatives and other Staff Members in the development of activities for Clients, which will enhance their quality of life.

* Produce reports (verbal or written) as and when required.

* Manage and maintain agreed budgets, in conjunction with the Operations Manager

* Endeavour to fill any Staff vacancy by advertising in the job centre or by contacting the HR

Department. Interview, select and recruit suitable Staff Members in line with the Company's

Recruitment policy.
